We were not the biggest spenders as we mainly ordered pizzas, we are not drinkers and we took our own birthday cake but we were treated with utmost respect and will definitely recommend this restaurant to all.

I look forward to future visits and would love to try some of the very tempting desserts listed on the menu.

Personally I'd like to see The Guild open for lunch. I visit Batemans Bay regularly and it would be a nice drive to Milton to have lunch, even if only on the weekend.

Thank you to the host and staff for an enjoyable evening in a very pleasant atmosphere.

star rating  We have been to The Guild a few times. It has usually been OK, but this time it wasn't. We were looking forward to starting our meal with a dozen... read more oysters, but they had 'run out' -- at 6pm on Friday? So we ordered some scallops instead. The scallop meat was OK, but the soy sauce based marinade was somewhat overpowering -- we wondered why anyone would want to smother the flavour of scallops, and why an Italian restaurant would choose to do that with soy sauce. For our mains we had the braised lamb shank and the seafood linguine, with a side order of mixed vegetables. The lamb shank and the vegetables were OK, but the seafood linguine was barely edible -- the only decent thing in it was the vongole; the rest of the seafood had the taste and texture of discarded trimmings, particularly the calamari. We have had much better meals elsewhere in the area for what we paid at The Guild last Friday. We probably won't go back.

star rating  A very disappointing evening. Hoping to have a special night with my partner and sister we drove down to Milton. We had booked but they only mentioned that the Pizza... read more oven was offline for the evening when we arrived. We were not shown where to sign in. We were hoping for the vegan pizza. Without that, the rest of the menu offered very little for vegans. The food was not good enough to warrant the price and $28 for the eggplant in tomato was ridiculous, especially as it was not tasty. Too often vegan food is just vegetables and a good chef should know that we need protein and like carbs. This dish had neither. The staff were a bit snappy, but given most of the people there were boomers I forgive them that.
